Measuring Homes for Energy Assessments

We also use our measurement results. For instance, we will input our results into the WeatherWorks program. That will allow use to generate a list of cost-effective energy measures and a workscope.

We may also want to compare the energy use of one house to other homes. This can only be reasonably done if we first adjust the houses for differences in the sizes of the houses.

We can also evaluate the air leakage of the home in terms of air changes per hour. This will require us to know the volume of the house.

And if we are taking a course in heat transfer we will use our measurement results in creating an energy model of the home.
